Renowned streetwear designer Guillermo Andrade teams up with Michelob Ultra to create a custom jersey ahead of the start of the World Cup. Every four years, the greatest football (fútbol) players in the world represent their respective countries and participate in the World Cup. As athletes train to compete at the highest level, they want to be dripping wet while in their jerseys. World Cup shirts are symbols of pride, unity and some of football’s most iconic moments. Guillermo Andrade intends to align his creation with his new collaboration.

“The mission was to capture unity and how the game (of football) brings people together,” says Andrade. “It’s the sport I most associate my brand with. “The byproduct of the unity that the game brings is having a drink with your buddies or other fans. The World Cup brings that out of people.

Guillermo Andrade, whose designs have been seen on Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Kylie Jenner and many more, has a love for football that goes far beyond his recent collaboration with Michelob ULTRA. He even played for a football club for 8 years as a youngster in Marin County, California and in college.

“I took this opportunity to highlight the American and Mexican flags,” Andrade said. “It was important to use the Mexican flag because Mexico represented the Central American community on the World Cup stage as a whole.”

The limited-edition jersey is inspired by Michelob ULTRA’s TVC World Cup, honoring the game’s legacy and the camaraderie it brings to fans around the world.

“Imagine being in a pub in a town you’re not from and seeing someone wearing the jersey,” Andrade says. It will be an exciting time that I know I will enjoy. This lets me know that the product did the job.

The long-sleeved jersey features a halftone texture that references the friendly yet competitive energy between the USA and national teams

The Michelob ULTRA & Guillermo Andrade jersey reminds sports fans that “It’s only worth it if you like it. Fans can check out Michelob ULTRA to learn how to get your hands on the unofficial Michelob ULTRA World Cup jersey.
